Final Call for Young Chefs to Make Their Mark at Taste of London
Student, trainee and professional chefs aged 18-23 have until midday on Friday 28th April 2017 to submit their recipe for a brand new on-the-go patisserie item, and stake their claim to have it created for sale at this June’s Taste of London – one of the world’s greatest restaurant festivals.

Chefs at Play is high-end bakery supplier, Coup de pates’ nationwide search for the freshest young talent, offering a fantastic prize. There’s still time to get involved – young chefs should visit and submit a paper recipe idea for an innovative new creation that twins two of the foodservice world’s biggest current trends – patisserie and food on-the go.

Chefs have one of eight base products – sourced from Coup de pates’ semi-prepared range – from which to build their recipe. From there, it is up to them to use their flair, creativity and any supplementary garnishes or ingredients to craft a stunning patisserie item that can be enjoyed ‘on-the-go’.

Following the close of phase one, four finalists will be selected by a panel of expert judges, including returning Chef Ambassador for Coup de pates’ parent company, ARYZTA Food Solutions, James Tanner, to bring their paper entries to life in a cook-off at Coup de pates headquarters in London’s Covent Garden during May.   

The exclusive prize also includes the chance to demo on the ARYZTA Food Solutions stand at Taste of London and work alongside the company’s brigade of development chefs as well as Tanner. This amazing experience is completed with dinner for two and an overnight stay in the capital.
